Ten finalists, including Jacque Gates-Bowling from Bixby,  have been named in the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame’s Songwriters Contest. They will perform the original songs at a Songwriting Showcase on October 8 at the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Muskogee.

Four youths who were finalists in the youth division of the songwriters contest also will perform at the showcase. Doors open at 5  p.m. and the Showcase begins at 6 p.m. in the historic Frisco Depot, 401 S. Third St., in Muskogee. Admission is $2.00.

Adult Amateur Songwriter Finalists are  Scott Aycock, Tulsa: two songs; Jacque Gates-Bowling, Bixby; Mike Dinsmore, Tulsa; Krystal Gaulden, Wagoner; Rick Jackson, Porum; Amber Moore, Wagoner; Joe Muse, Broken Arrow; Erika Slade, Wagoner; and Kimberly Smoak, Nowata. Youth Finalists are Madalyn Cook, Ft. Gibson; Chelsea Greenfield, Wagoner; Hunter Lasater, Wagoner; and Cassidy Yandell, Gore.
