Story by Bixby Bulletin

Don Thornton, guest speaker March 8 at the weekly meeting of the Bixby Rotary Club says everyone has squandered opportunity when not having told family and loved ones how much they are cared about. Thornton is well known as a leader in car sales and is deeply involved in the community by serving on the boards of both Hillcrest Medical Center and the Thornton Family YMCA. He also served on the Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Commission in Oklahoma City and is past chairman of the Oklahoma Automobile Dealers Association. In 1998 he was honored by Time Magazine as one of the Top 10 automobile dealers in US. Thornton is an example of the speakers the Bixby Rotary hosts each Tuesday at Michael V’s at 11:30 a.m.
