Local Chamber Leaders from Across the State Attend Legislative Advocacy Workshop

Seventeen local chambers attended the State Chamber hosted Legislative Advocacy Workshop this week, where local chamber executives and their board leaders learned more about the legislative process and key legislative issues. In an effort to keep local chambers involved in grassroots efforts at the Capitol, the State Chamber has developed a set of Key Legislative Principles outlining issues that will be important at the Capitol this next legislative session and allowing local chambers and their members to be educated on these issues in advance. Chambers can then adopt the Key Legislative Principles and be prepared to act quickly on issues important to their members this next legislative session. The State Chamber is excited to partner with these chambers in an effort to have a statewide unified voice on business issues. Speakers included the State Chamber lobby team, President and CEO Fred Morgan, Senator Clark Jolley, and Jenks Chamber President Josh Driskell.
