BIXBY – Mayor Ray Bowen said he is uncertain whether the city would identify its potential Vision2 projects before the proposal’s Nov. 6 election.

The $748.8 million proposal would extend the countywide 0.6 percent Vision 2025 sales tax rate through 2029 and allocate $11.3 million for quality-of-life projects in Bixby.

City officials have a general idea of how to spend the money, but they want to hear from residents at a public meeting before proposing projects, Bowen said.

“I don’t know where (the meeting) will happen before” Nov. 6, he said. “It very well could be that we’d have it done. We just haven’t scheduled anything.”
